Roy Keane On who will win the EPL

Despite Manchester City's recent loss to Arsenal, Roy Keane remains confident in their Premier League title chances. However, he emphasizes the significance of Rodri's involvement in the midfield. The Spanish star missed three domestic games after a red card against Nottingham Forest, resulting in City losing all three matches and highlighting Rodri's significance.

When Rodri returned to play in the Champions League game against Red Bull Leipzig, City celebrated a victory. In his absence, midfielders like Kalvin Phillips, Mateo Kovacic, and Matheus Nunes didn't quite fill his shoes. Commenting on the Stick to Football podcast, Keane asserted that City are still frontrunners for the Premier League title despite their recent slump.

Arsenal narrowly defeated City 1-0 over the weekend with Rico Lewis taking Rodri's place in midfield. Fortunately for City fans, Rodri's suspension has ended, and he will be back on the field for the upcoming match against Brighton. Keane, the former Manchester United captain, stresses that City cannot afford to lose the 27-year-old midfielder and calls him their "most important" player.

Keane isn't alone in his appreciation of Rodri – ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher wholeheartedly agrees. Noting Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne (sidelined since opening day) as the league's two best midfielders, Carragher is optimistic about Manchester City's potential once both players are back in action. With these key players returning soon, it seems that City's best days are still ahead.
