Arteta on Wilshere link as Manager of Colorado Rapids

Mikel Arteta has recently praised Jack Wilshere as a "valuable asset" with the potential to eventually manage Arsenal. This comes amidst growing interest in the 31-year-old from Colorado Rapids.

According to ESPN, Wilshere recently interviewed for an MLS job – a position temporarily held by Chris Little after Robin Fraser's dismissal in September. Insiders at ESPN reveal that Arsenal's U18 coach is among five contenders for the role. Commenting on the matter, Arteta expressed his delight in having Wilshere on board and acknowledged his impact: "He's brought something essential to the academy and the overall atmosphere."

"It's only natural that successful individuals attract attention," Arteta continued. "Ultimately, it's up to Jack to decide what's best for his career."

As far back as September 2016, former Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger had hinted at Wilshere's potential as a future manager. Arteta echoed these sentiments, especially after Wilshere led Arsenal's U18 team to the FA Youth Cup Final during his rookie coaching season. When asked if Wilshere could be Arsenal's manager someday, Arteta affirmed that he has the capability and dedication for the role, calling him a "huge asset" for the club.

In other news, Arsenal is set to face Chelsea on Saturday with high hopes of welcoming back Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard from hamstring injuries. Meanwhile, William Saliba struggles to recover from a toe issue.
