Newcastle United find themselves in a fierce competition to snatch Kalvin Phillips away from Manchester City during the winter transfer window.
The Magpies had their hearts set on an unchallenged pursuit of the talented England international midfielder.
Nonetheless, according to The Sun, a growing number of clubs have turned their attention to Phillips after his stellar performance in recent international matches.

AC Milan, for one, has their sights locked on the 27-year-old, promising him a definite spot in their starting lineup.
Bayern Munich isn't far behind, with their head coach Thomas Tuchel particularly eager to strengthen his roster by introducing more Premier League talents like Phillips.
Despite the increasing interest, there's still a chance that Phillips might opt to stay put at City until the summer, even as he remains an occasional contributor under manager Pep Guardiola.
