Rice On Champion League Game

Declan Rice has urged his Arsenal teammates to gather themselves and prepare for the upcoming match against Sevilla. The Spanish team will host Mikel Arteta's side at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Tuesday evening for the third matchday of the Champions League group stage.

Arsenal enters the match after drawing with Chelsea on Saturday, while Real Madrid managed to score a late equalizer against Sevilla on Sunday. With an extra day of rest, the team from north London hopes to stabilize their European campaign following a disappointing defeat to RC Lens.

The Gunners began the Champions League group stages with an impressive victory over PSV Eindhoven at the Emirates Stadium. However, they have responded well with a win against Manchester City and a draw against Chelsea. Arteta's team currently occupies the second position in Group B and, although it is still too early to determine, Rice is eager to progress to the knockout stages.

After securing an important point in the Premier League title race against Chelsea, Rice celebrated the occasion on his Instagram story. The 24-year-old wrote, "Another important week ahead. Let's regroup and try again! Thank you Gunners [red heart emoji]."

Following the Chelsea game, Arteta was asked about his players' character, to which the Spaniard responded impressively, sending a clear warning to Sevilla. He stated, "I could see at half time that we were determined to improve and the game was still within our reach. We had that belief. Even after conceding a goal, we continued to perform in the same manner. I admired that about the team and I will demand the same level from them every day. This is our identity and the only way to cause problems for the opponent even when we are not at our best."

After another shaky performance from David Raya in goal, Arsenal fans could be heard chanting for Aaron Ramsdale, who is eager to show his worth against Sevilla. Arteta expressed his admiration for Ramsdale, saying, "I love him and I will sing for him every day as well. We sang a lot for him yesterday because he became a father - it was a beautiful thing. He has charisma and personality, and he is well-liked within the team."
