Ten Hag On Champion League win

🔴🏆 Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was overjoyed with the performances of Harry Maguire and Andre Onana in their thrilling Champions League victory against Copenhagen. Maguire sealed the win as the matchwinner, while Onana made a crucial penalty save in injury-time to deny Jordan Larsson.

Ten Hag expressed his delight, saying, "What an incredible and memorable night! It was especially thrilling in the dying seconds when we conceded a penalty, but Andre Onana made a brilliant save. Both Harry Maguire and Andre Onana played exceptionally well. Maguire had an outstanding game, and Onana's crucial save just after half-time was a game-changer. Although the first-half wasn't up to our standards, we remained calm and stepped up our game in the second-half, creating more chances than our opponents. It was a narrow escape in the end."

Regarding Christian Eriksen's impact after coming on as a substitute, Ten Hag added, "Christian is always a positive force on the field. He brings the much-needed creativity we lacked in the first-half. Copenhagen's defensive organization was strong, but Christian Eriksen's precise passes helped us break through their defense."

Ten Hag also discussed the defensive challenges the team has faced this season, saying, "The frequent changes in our backline have disrupted our rhythm and balance. Last year, we had a solid and consistent back four, supported by Casemiro in front. This season, the lack of stability in our defense has affected our possession and control in midfield. However, I am confident that once we establish the routines and consistency in our back four, it will provide a strong foundation for the team to build upon."
