🔵⚪️⚽️ Another tough night for Barcelona in the Champions League, as they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk. Coach Xavi did not mince his words after the game, offering no excuses for the team's performance.
Danylo Sikan emerged as Shakhtar's matchwinner in Hamburg, leaving Barcelona with a lot to reflect on. Xavi admitted that the team's level of play was at a low point, the worst they have seen all season. He said, "We have played one of the worst games of these two years." It's a disappointing result, especially at such an inopportune moment in the competition.

Xavi stressed the need for self-criticism and a fresh approach. He emphasized the importance of being more dynamic and recognizable on the pitch, as well as having more confidence. The team was not comfortable during the game, and a reset is needed moving forward.
Although there were improvements in the second half, Barcelona still lacked the fluidity required. Xavi acknowledged the team's responsibility to win back the fans and give them confidence again. He ended on a positive note, stating that nothing is lost yet and that they still have control over their fate in the competition. The next game against Porto, at home, presents an opportunity for redemption.
