Pochettino on the win against Burnley

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino expressed sheer delight with his team's impressive 4-1 victory over Burnley. The visitors showcased tremendous resilience as they fought back from being a goal down, with goals from Nicolas Jackson, Raheem Sterling, and Cole Palmer, along with an unfortunate own goal by Burnley.

Pochettino couldn't hide his satisfaction, stating, "I am genuinely pleased because the players truly deserved this victory. Throughout the season, we haven't always received what we deserved, but today's performance was rock-solid. Breaking down Burnley's defensive structure was a challenge, especially after conceding one goal. However, in the second half, we dominated the game and fully merited the result."

He emphasized that their success is a combination of hard work and confidence, highlighting the fact that they have a young team with many new players. Building their confidence and team structure has been crucial, and although they are performing well, Pochettino believes they still have room for improvement, particularly in front of goal. He expressed his happiness and emphasized the importance of building confidence within this young group, especially with three consecutive victories in their recent matches.

Pochettino further praised Raheem Sterling for his outstanding performance, stating, "I am absolutely delighted because Raheem needed to find the net. As an experienced player, he brings so much to the team. He played a significant role in creating a penalty, scoring a goal, and was involved in the first goal through an own goal. Raheem's experience and contributions are invaluable to the team."

Adding to the praise, Pochettino also highlighted the talent and qualities of Cole Palmer, who caught his attention shortly before the transfer window closed. Despite his young age, Palmer impressed Pochettino with his ability to read the game and fulfill the team's needs in various situations. Pochettino praised his versatility, aptitude, and emphasized the immense potential that Palmer possesses.
