Dutch journalist Mike Verwijn recently stirred the pot by casting doubt on Erik ten Hag's future at Manchester United. He even hinted that a sensational return to Ajax, replacing Mark Steijn, might be on the cards.

Intriguingly, another reporter Valentijn Driessen weighed in on the situation, commenting, "At United, a club where dismissing trainers is not uncommon, immediate results are critical to Ten Hag's survival."

Driessen added that he believes Steijn is silently rooting for Ten Hag to withstand the storm just a bit longer.
When pressed for more details, Verwijn admitted, "Well, I'm not entirely sure. You hear murmurs about whether Ten Hag would actually consider returning. Having experienced the thrill of the Premier League and given his triumphant stint at Ajax, Erik's stock will only continue to rise."
