Arsenal scored a crucial victory against Manchester City, their Premier League title rival, just before the October international break.
The nail-biting match ended with Gabriel Martinelli's last-minute deflected shot finding the corner of the net after superb teamwork from Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kai Havertz. However, post-game celebrations were overshadowed by a touchline scuffle involving City's Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland, as well as Arsenal coach Nicolas Jover.
With the TV cameras primarily focused on Arsenal's euphoria, the cause of the brawl remained unclear. Later, both Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola weighed in during their respective post-match press conferences. While Arteta claimed not to have seen the incident, Guardiola admitted to witnessing it but opted to stay mum about the details.

It was eventually revealed that no FA investigation would take place, thanks to Bukayo Saka's quick intervention as a peacemaker. Finally, speaking on international duty with England, Walker dished out the reason behind the row – citing a previous altercation with Jover. Walker confessed that his competitive spirit fuelled his reaction to Jover wanting to shake hands after a prior loss.
The heated exchange provides insight into Walker's unyielding standards and drive for success which are vital for title contenders like Manchester City.
