Arsenal's on-loan goalkeeper David Raya is enthusiastic about making his stay permanent with the club. Having joined from Brentford for the season, he has a purchase option in his loan agreement.
Talking to the Athletic, Raya excitedly shared, "If I could have signed permanently yesterday, I would have!"
With Raya's arrival, former first-choice keeper Aaron Ramsdale, 25, now finds himself on the bench. However, Raya insists their bond remains strong, saying, "We're friends at the end of the day and that's what really matters. Our relationship is healthy and problem-free."

The two goalkeepers encourage each other during practice sessions. Raya explains that they uplift one another when they're feeling low - highlighting the importance of camaraderie among goalkeepers in a successful team.
Raya also discussed his connection with manager Mikel Arteta, who instilled confidence in him by emphasizing the need for two top players in every position. For Raya, it's all about seizing the opportunity and giving his best to earn significant playing time.
